County Children's Aid and Humane
Society will be Held on, Tuesday, No-
vember 8th at 3 p.m. in the.• Chil-
dren's Home, CanWron St., Godericii.

an outside speaker. It is hoped that
there will be a good representation

Mr. P. Frayne spent -Monday in
London.
Mr. Clifford McEvoy, of Windsor,
visited in Exeter during the week.
Mr. Wm. J. Northcott left Wed-
nesday for a hunting trip up north.
Mr. Reg. Hodgins has returned
after spending several weeks in
Guelph.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Sanders, of
Detroit, are holidaying with relatives
in Exeter.
Mr. and Mrs. Win. Snell, of Lon-
don, are visiting with relatives in
this community.
Mr. F. M. Boyle was -high man on
the Y. bowling alley for Octobe
making a score of 190.
The Exeter H. S. ball team went
to Lucan Saturday and were beaten
by the Lucan team 5 to 1.
Miss I-1. Preszcator returned home
Saturday evening after :holidaying
for a couple of weeks in Detroit.
Thanksgiving Day will be held on
Monday next, November 7th. The
day will be observed as a public hol-
iday.

Miss Sweet has returned home af-
ter a pleasant visit with friends in
London, Tillsonburg and Durham,
Centre.
Messrs. Earl Shapton and Alvin
Pyni returned home from. the West
last week where they were assisting
with the harvest.
Mr. John Hunter, of town, and "Mr.
Fred Stephens, of Toronto, left this
week for Hely ,Ontario to spend two
weeks deer hunting.
The local nimrods who have been
at Whitechurch for the past two
weeks on a shooting expedition' sent
home a bag of 27 rabbits.
Rev. W. G. H. and Mrs. McAllister
were in London Tuesday attending
the funeral of Mrs. Fowler, widow
of the late Rev. Dr. Fowler, M.R.C.

as registrars in ` the South Huron

of Gilbert, Plains, Man., aninterest-
ing account of an auto trip from
Calgary to Banff, and a communica-
tion from Mr. Tho. Cann of London

The Young People's• Club of Main
St. Church held a Hallowe'en mas-
querade at the home of Miss Doro-
thy Balkwiil, Monday evening. There
was many, amusing , costumes and
several prizes were awarded. A num-
ber of old-time games and amuse-
ments were enjoyed, -followed by a
dainty lunch.
