MEMORIAL TABLET
The public are cordially invited to
attend a ceremony in connection
with the unveiling of a Memorial
Tablet which has been placed in the
banking room of the local branch of
the Canadian Bank of Commerce in
honour of the members of the
Bank's staff from Exeter and Dis-
trict who enlisted for service in the
Great War. The unveiling 'will
take place at the Bank on Thursday
afternoon May 19th at 4.30 o'clock.
Mr. W. J. Beer has erected a free of town, will have command, of - -D
company, which will comprise mem-
bers from Exter, Hensall, Seaforth
and. Brussells. It is understood the
pay for new recruits is $1.25 a day
and ,for ex -service men $1.50..,

vive.
Mrs. Eli Hodgins, of Biddulph,
has rented her property in 'Clande
boys to R. Neil, who intends start-
ing in
tart-ing'in the silk worm business, Mr.•
Neil is securing more land for the
purpose of planting mulberry trees.
