RETIRES, APLEIt PASTORATE OF THIRTY YEARS, Rev. Dr. J. A. Turnbull, an Us - borne Old Boy and brother of Mr. W. A. Turnbull and Mrs. Gildllan, of Usborne, has resigned from the active pastorate of West Presby- terian Church, Toronto, which posi- tion he has held for the past thirty years. In tendering his resignation Dr. Turnbull stated: "that the sole reason for resigning from the active ministry was the poor state 4f his health, and ,he expressedthe hope that' congregation would put noth- ing in the way of his entering into retirement." Dr.. Turnbull has been appointed pastor emeritus of the congregation with a retiring allow- ance of $1200 per year.
