Harvey, over the week -end, Mr. C. L. Wilson has installed a pressure system for hard water fn his restaurant and apartments. Dr. M. E. Johnston, of Hamilton, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Johnston, over the week -end. Mr. Reg. Knight, who has been confined to his home for over a week with - illness, is improving slowly. Mr. Will Passmore has been able to be out the past week after quite a serious illness, extending over 'sev- eral weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Peter B. Gardiner, of Blyth, attended the fuheral of the late Mrs. Robert Gardiner, of Far- quhar, on Saturday last. Mrs. W. D. Burke, of Wingham, who has been ill at the hone of her mother, Mrs. James Taylor, for sev- eral weeks, is improving. Mrs. W. S. Carling, who has been visiting her daughter at Brighton, joined. Mr; Carling in Exeter last week. Mr. Verne Harness visited in Clin- ton over the week -end and was ac- companied home on Monday by his brother, Czar, who spent several days in Clinton. Mr. Nelson Sheere, who, a year ago, purchased the residence of the late John Gill, corner of James and Andrew street, and has had it re- modelled and made quite up-to-date, has moved in this, week. Mr. James 'Jewell. has returned home after visiting with his daugh- eters in London. While 'there he at- tended the Poultry Fanciers' ban- quet in honor of Mr. McNeiI, veteran poultryman and judge. ) To the totally disabled pensioner the Dominion gives a pension of $900.
