2 teaspoons powdered place, 4 chopped

ed cinnamon, allspice, and ginger,
vinegar to cover. Take the seeds
from the peppers and put them into a
clean saucepan, add chopped onions,
cloves, cinnamon, allspice, ginger, and
mace. Pour in enough vinegar to weal
cover, and simmer for four irours. Rub
through a sieve, cool and bottle.
Baked Chocolate Pudding -1/s cup
fat, 2 eggs, 2 squares chocolate, 1 tea-
spoon vanilla, 3 teaspoons baking
powder, YJ, teaspoon salt, 2 table-
spoons sugar (brown or white), 1 cup
earn syrup, ?i: cup milk, 1% cups
weheat flour. Cream the fat and sugar,
add the egg yolks and syrup. Melt
the chocolate, cool slightly before add-
ing
dding to mixture, and beat well.. Sift
dry ,ingredients together, and add 'al-
ternately with the milk. Add vanilla,
and fold in the stiffly beaten whites.
Bake in a loaf in a moderate oven, out
in squares, and serve with lemon
dressing.
