place at Exeter at Saturday _after-
noon Sept, ZSta; at 2 diclock, tvlien.
Bella Jean. elder daughter qtr and
Mrs.. Richard Garnet Seldon, was un-
ited in malrriage to Mr.' -Frank Lam -
'pert Newman of 'Kingston. The cer
many ,was conducted by th-d Rev. J,
Foote pastor of Cavan Presbyterian
Church Exeter, assisted by the Rev,
Dr, Colin Fletcher, of Thames Road,
Moderator of the Presbyterarsn church
in Canada. The bride; was given au -ay
by her father, and the wedding music
was played by her aunt, Mrs. Thomas
Seldon of Ingersoll. The bride look-
ed very lovely in a charming gown of
white satin charmeuse and' "-eorgette
crepe, with coronet of orange blos-
soms?. and tulle vent, Miss Marjorie
Seldon, sister of the bride, acted -as
bridemaid. and was gowned in pale
blue, :satin charmeuse trimmed. frith
pink Georgette crepe, and wore a
large picture hat of black velvet.

The death occurred at Clinton On

M. Calder relict of the -late 'Sam,iel
Buckingham, in her 90th year. Death

she was there. married when a young
woman to lir. Samuel Buckingham
Oa coming to Canada they resided at.
St. Thomas for four years, and, then
moved to, \Vinchtels)eal. After some

Exeter 56 years ago.' Mr. Bucking-
ham followed his, trade as blacksmith
in bolh Wnchelsea and Exeter. He
died' seven years ago.. Ttv o• sons in
the West and one daughter survive,
the daughter being Mrs. James
Weekes of : Exeter. The 'late Mrs;
Buckingham was.a most estimable wo
naan, a member of James street Meth-
odist Church and..for many years one
of the church's most"' iinndefaiguable

the Woman' Missionary Society, and
was beloved by all who knew her,
The funeral, which was at a private
nature, took place from th,ea-esidenc,e
of Mi Week -es, to Exeter. Cemetery
on Saturday afternoon.
