The "Earn and Give" canipaign in
town in connection with the Y.M.C,A.
has been nobly responded to by a
number of boys who are
prepared to make some real sacrifice
for the sake of providing comforts
and entertainment for the boys over-
seas. A meet:ng n as held in the Lib-
rary Monday evening and after the
campaign • was outlined • Mr. Harold
Boyle was the first to sign . up thereby
receiving• an oucburst of applause
from the others present. Ten boys
wore signed up before the meeting
closed and these were chosen into
two 'sides called the Army and Navy
and they are now out after recruits
The boys have promised. to earn and
give ten dollars to help carry on the
work of the Y.M.A. which is doing
so much for the boys at the front.
Ten 'dollars means something to all of
the boys who have pledged themselves
but the manner in which they are
taking hold shows their spirit of pat-
riotism to stand behind the boys even
till it hurts. The names of than who
have already signed are,
