been made for the harbor' work need-
ed at Goderich in connection with the
establishternent of the Goderich Ship-
building Company's plant here. The

Mr. W. M. 'Eadie of 'Toronto has
been engaged as ;principal of the Ex-
eter School. MIr. Eadie comes highly
recommended. He has a family of six
children and the oldest sin was kill-
ed in the war. Mr. Eadie was here
on Thursday and was pleased with the

Two rinks of Hensall Bowlers•spent
an evening here last week. H. Arn-

Finding that one bus is all that is
irecessaiy to accommodate she trav-

of self and team could, be better spent
in the work of harvesting crops, etc.,
Mr T G. Creech has for a few weeks
discontinued the bus business. His
dray business goes-oa as usual.

Few people living in this part of
Ontario' are aware that there is in
the town of Goderich a collection of
roses embracing 260 'species, and so
artistically arranged about the en-
chanting grounds of the registry of-
fice of the County of Huron that vis-
itors to that town seldom miss the
opportunity of calling on Mr. 'Wm.
Coates, registrar, who is a rose spec-
ialist, and -has gathered together a
collection that is the 'amazement of
visitors,
