McTaggart and daugh ter, of Exeter, were in attendance at .t he funeral of the late Mrs. (4}r.) McTaggart, .at Blyth last Tuesday. The Blyth Standard says. -Sad indeed. was the news on. "Saturday marning when it became known that Margaret' Louise Tiernay beloved wife of Dr. J. A. McTaggart had passed away, after only .a little over a days illness. Thus is removed, from our midst one of the inost popular and esteemed of aur residents, The late Mrs..hIcTaggart was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. _J. B. Tierney, of East Wawa,nsash, and had spentt all her life in the commun- ity. She was a perslonof most lave - able disposition and held the good -will and esteem of all. She 'took a deep int erest in. the work of Tr'iii,b Church and was a me,tuber of the choir. The floral tributes placed on the casket attested the ,esteem in which she held. WHY SiVIITH LEFT HOME. -The farcical comedy, "Why Smith Left 1-lome," put on +by the Exeter Ama- teur Dramatic Club, .under the aus- pices of the 'Soldiers' ',Aid Society, in the Opera House on Friday evening, proved to he all that was claimed for it and more.
