Regulation 17 won out in the appeal
to the Privy Council. The Ontario
Government is on solid ground in in-
sistin;; that English shall he the lang-

Let us 'never forget the solemn truth
that the nation is not constituted of
the living one. There are others
as well who have passed away and
those yet to be born. So this respon-
sibility comes to us as heirs
of the past and trustees of the future.
But with that res ponsibility there
bas come something greater still, the
opaortunity of proving ourselves wor
thy of it. And I pray that this may
not be lost, --Premier Borden

Few farmers, as well as numbers
in the village realize the value of the
email town as an aid to themselves.
Money spent in the home town helps
not only to improve it and make it
a better place to trade, but it makes
land around the town more valuable.

five million dollars pt,r year to the

Five members of the Scott Govern-
ment in Saskatchewan leave gone to
jail, and yet some Liberal papers
point proudly to the Scott Govern-
ment as having been exonerated by
the conviction of its supporters. But
when the Dominion Government was
shown to have bad no connection
whatever with the fact that Allison
got e. rake -oft on a contract between
the Imperial government. and Amer-
ican firms, these same papers said the
Government should resign, If some
one only says a Conservative is guilty
you hear them yell, "Resign Resign,"
but if a Liberal is proven guilty
they cry "Exonerated,"
