Air: Richard Murphy ,of tons re-
ceived the sad news on Saturdayaast
of the death -of her father, Mr. Rob-
ert Bruce, who was found dead in
bed that morning, at .the great age
of 98 years. Mr, and Mrs. 'Murphy
attended the funeral this week.

taining leave of absence for the 161-
st. Huron Batt. Band to attend the
Grand Fair of the Allied Nations

AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT. — An
automobile. accident that might have
been attended with serious results
happened on the London Road a few
miles south of here on. Tuesday. The

reactionary storm period .is central, on
the 6th, 7th and 8th. The barometer
will Inaturcally fall—beginning in the
west and passing eastward across the
country on these dates. This falling '
barometer will be, the forerunner •of
higher temperature, cloudiness and a
return. of decided rain, .wind and
thunder storms. The atmospheric tid-
es will naturally follow the Moon to
wards the south, and the cooler iiur
rents from the north, will precipitate
hall storms .of a very violent type.
These 'storms may not result in freez-
ing. but be •:prep eared for 'unseasanab'y
coil air, with the high barometer al -
