was the scene of a quiet, but pretty
wedding on Dec. 15th, when Rev.
Ry ott united in marriage Miss Ada
Allen, youngest daughter of James
Allen at Woodham, and Milton Ross
eldest sou of Richard Ross of Kirkton
Miss Florence Ross, sister of the
groom, ano Private Earl Gardiner at-
tended the young couple. The bride
wore a beautiful dress of rose Hiawa-
tha sile and hat to match. After the
ceremony the happy couple drove to
the home of George Allen, brother
of the bride, where the guests num-
bering ;about twenty-five sat down
to a dainty repast. Every happiness
is extended to the young people in
their new home in Georgetown.

STANLEY—The funeral of the late
Robert Snowden was held Friday to
Bayfield cemetery. Deceased was a
prominent resident of Stanley town -
