ture on Physical Culture in James Et,

of great value to anyone. The excel-
lent physical condition of Mr; Cross-
ley himself at 65 years young , as he

these exercises. We are in , eceipt
of a printed copy of the exercises,. but
at this Christmas season we find it
impossible to get space for them in
The Advocate. When the rush of
the holidae season is over we nope to

JONES—BISSETT-- A pleasing
event took place at the -home of Mr.
and Mrs. Thos. Bissett, Con. 3,, Us -
borne pr. Wednesday, Dec, 15th, when
then- daughter, Nellie E., became the
bride of Mr. Jahn I. Jones, son of
IIx. Henry Jones, London Road South.
The ceremony was performed by
Rev. W G H. McAlister of James
Street church in 'the presence of about
thirty-five guests and took place
at higl noon. The bride entered the
parlor on 'be arm of; her father and
the ceremony took place under a
beautifu', arch of evergreen and aaoliy,
The young couple were unattended.
Miss Nellie Jones, sister of' the groom,
played the wedding march, The bride
was gowned in a white lace :tress
with silk and pearl trimmings. The
ceremony and congratulations over
all repaired to the dining room which
was tastefully decorated with ;lags
and flowers, and partook of a sump-
tuous wedding dinner. The presentsthe
were handsome and costly,
groom's gift to the bride being a
beautiful gold watch, The young
couple left on the evening train from
Exeter for a trip to Toronto, Ham-
ilton and St. Catharines, thebride
travelling in a suit of ivy shade velvet
with black picture hat. On their
return they will reside on the groom's
farm south of town. The Advocate

noon Mr Wm. Atkinson of the 12th
Con of Usborne, disposed of his farm
stock and implements by public auc-
tion. There were a large number in
attendance and bidding was exception-
ally brisk from start to finish. The
total proceeds amounted to $4345.

a hundred acre farm. Auctioneer Rob--
