DEATH O1 AGED
RESIDENT.-
The deathoccurred early on Friday
morning last of one of Exeter's aged
and respected residents in the person
of Elizabeth Wilson, relict of the
late James Stewart, at the age 01
85 years and 9 months. Deceased
had been troubled for some vears
with dropsy combined with the us-
ual infirmities of old age, and a enal
breaking up of the system was not
unexpected although it came eudden-
ly at last, she being confined to her
bed only a short time. She was en
estimable old lady, kind-hearted and
likeable and of cheerful disposition.
She had been a resident 01'Exeter for
many years and since the death of
her husband about eleven years ago,
she bad resided with her grandson,
Mr. Alex. Stewart. Three grandsons
survive. William of Detroit, Alex. oi
Exeter and Ed. of London. The fun-
eral, which was of a private oature

ten; 01: Sunday afternoon, Rev. D. W.
Collins officiating. The late 'Mrs.
Stewart was born in Ireland, and came
to Canada after her marriage, living
