DEATEr OF JAMES JECKELL.-
The death took place in Port Huron,
Mich., on Friday last of Mr. James
Jeckell,:-,Sr. after an illness of drily
a few days of pneumonia. Deceased
was 79 years of age. Born in the
city of Durham, England', he Lame to
Exeter with his family twenty-one
years - age and continued to reside
here until a few, months agot, when he
went tc Port Huron to live with his
son -Thomas. He was a carpenter by
trade "enc. followed that occupation
while living in Exeter. His wife pre-
deceased him eight years. The re-
mains were brought here Monday
morning and the funeral took place
front the stetson interment being made
in Exeter cemetery;;,' He is eurvived
by five sons and . four daughters,-
