STREET OILING A SUCCESS. --
If there has been any one outstand-
in.g feature of value in the conduct
of the town's business this year it
is 'the oiling of the streets. Without
the oil the continuous heavy rains
would have made the Main Street a
miserable mess all summer long, and
it would pow be nothing but a series
of bills and hales As it is' the street
bar been in excellent condition all
through the u;eason; and is ,now in a
goad state of preservation, From
the two standpoints -those of abat-
ing the dust nuisance and preserving
the road bed—the oiling of the streets
has. beee a real success, ;
