Council met at Township Hall ion
Aug 7. All the members were pres-
ent. The minutes of the last meeting
were read and approved.
The following rates were levied for
the current year i --County rate 2.125
mills; Provincial war tax 1. ,mill
Township rate 1,5 mills; General
school rate 1.125 mills. Total 3.75
mills.
The bridge on concession 6 ,and 7
was inspected and approved, the con-
tractor to do a little more ,finishing
and clear the watercourse of obstruc=
tions.
A number of accounts were passed
ane orders issued in payment.
Council adjourned to meet on Sat-
urday- Sept. 4th, at one a o'clock.

and 9 of "The Voters' List Act" the copies required
by the said section lobe so transmitted or delivered
of the list made pursuant to said act, of all persons
appearing by the last revised Assessment Roll of the
said Municipality to be entitled to vote in the said
Municipality at Elections for members of the Legisla-
tive Assembly and at Municipal Elections, and that
said list was firstposted up at my office Us -
borne on the 29th day of July, 1915, and re-
mains there for inspection.

Egerton. the police believe theyl
have rounded up a much wanted
check artist who yesterday 'reworked''
a local wholesaleer for a small sum
Metcalf was remanded until Monday.
In, the interval his record will be
looked up by the department.
Metcalf is bailed to appear in Sea -
forth to answer a charge of arson,
according, to the detectives, in ad-
dition. it is said he is known by the
Gait police as well as the authorities
of other municipalities, throughout.

Mrs. Arroaline Brisson, relict of

7 3 years. Deceased had made her
home with her son, Mr. Aserich Kris-
stta for a nwniber of years, and
her illness was of short duration. in-
terment took place in the Drysdale
cemetery.
