"The largest area ever sown to
wheat in Canada" is how the Can-

conditions in a bulletin just issued.
The bulletin says—Wheat is estimated
to occupy this year a total. of 12,896,-
000 acres, which is more by 1,602,-
150 acres, or 14.8 per cent, than the
area shown for 1914, and by 2,602,100

We were a little surprised the ether
day to find fifty dollars on the road
beside the hedge at the corner of a
prominent farmer's house, and nore
so to find that it had, lain for several
weeks unmolested and was beginning

The money was in the shape of a corn
planter ,which will have to be re-
placed by .a new one before another
season unless cared for better. If we
had the money that is lost every year
by neglect of farm machinery, we
would not be running a newspaper.
