Exeter to receive medical; attention at
the hencls of Dr. McGillicuddy, After
being cared for he was.' taken!mine
and Exons there to London the same
night, where he was operated on by
Dr efoare said Dx. McGillicuddy, for
rupture of the. stomach and ,stoppage
of the bowels. It took some hours
to complete the operation,, from which
he emerged en a weak and serious
condition, but he is doing as well as
can be expected.. The .ie the second
operation for the same tfouble, and
his many friends trust that. he may
fully recover and that speedily.
WEDDED.—A quiet wedding took
place at. 7.3Q a.. m., on Tuesday, June
23rd, at the home of, the bxsde's par-
ents, Mr and Mrs, L Armstrong, Hur-
on street of their daughter, Miss Eth-

The ceremony was performed by Rev.
McAlister. The young couple was
unattended. The bride was Downed in

There passed away at her home, Wil-
liam street on Friday ,last, Jane Mit-
chell, .widow of the late David Mit
ehen at. the age oifx 76 years 11 Inane
th s and 23 days. The Deceased had
been is-. delicate health for a -number
of years but there was no change
en her condition until Tuesday, of last
ween when she was taken down and
on, Friday she passed away. Mrs..
Mitchell was a native of Ireland, hut
came to Canada"when ten years of

years later she moved to the Town-
ship of Hibbert, when she was mar-
ried .and where she afterwards lived

in Croswell`, Mich., on Saturday, June
13th, at the age of 85 years. About
two months ago Mr Franciswas ,be-

England, but, canoe ,to Canada when 22
years of age, first .settling in Scar-
bora'. About nine years later • he
moved to the Township of Usborne,
where he remained for 4,32 years and
about 22 years ago he removed to
Croswell, where he lived up to the
time of his death, Mr. Francis was
a mase of unquestionable integrity orad
