Ole Sovereign Grand Lodge of the In-
dependent Order of Oddfellows at I.
dianapolis,'the two chief prizes were 'won
by Toronto. The premier Manors for in-
dividual military precision are also
awarded to Torontld, having been won
by Roger Crocker, a member of the ord-
er living at Spading avenue, a former
and well-known Exeter boy. The hon-
ors captured by Mr. Crocker reflects
credit on M. Crocker for his Mmilitary
attainments and the will have the con-
gratulations of all his friends here.

DIEA IN FtUSSF.LDALE,-4 former
old and well-known resident 'of Exeter;
in the •person of,,Me R. D. Roy, passed
away at his home in Russeldale, an
Sunday last, at the age of 7.3, years.
The circumstances surrounding his de-
mise were indeed sad. He was in his
usual health till about two weeks ago
when he met with an accident, by falling
and sustained such, injuries that result-
ed in his death. Mr. Roy resided Orr
Exeter for several years, but removed
from here to Ruusaeldale about six years
ago, where he has since resided. Dur -
ng ht's residence here he made many
warm friends as a neighbor, friend and
itizen, and they deeply regret to learn
of his demise. Besides a sorrowing
widow hie Is survived by one son and
have ' daughters. The funeral took
lace to Ray's Cemetery on Monday.
