A ministerial order was passed at once- by the Dominion Government, caneeIling all permits for the importation from England of cattle, sheep, swine or other ruminants, other than those actually, at this date, embarked on board vessels bound for Canada. This will effectually prevent the importation of ani- mals of the above classes till after the disease is stamped out. Horses are not affected by the order.
