Death,• -Sirs'. Dorothea. Preeter, 90
years of ago, died at the home of her
oldest son, I+'red Preeter, on Thursday
of last week. She was beret in 1931 15
Mecklenburg, Schwerin, Germany, and
caste with .1-.& .husband, the late Joaeh
int Preeter to Canada :in 1861. After a
short residence in Waterloo Co„ and
later itt' Buffett Township, they eettled
on the 14t1 con. of: Stephen Tp. , In
3.879 she lost her husband, 32 years
ago. She was the mother of three
eons and five daughters, all of whom
survive her, with, the exception,:et two'
daughters. Deceased always enjoyed
good health until about a month ago,
.w.hen. ,she was ;taken 11! with, gangrene.
All that good nursing could do was
done, but to no avail, and we have
every reason to believe that when the
summons carate to her to leave this
earthly ,.tabernacle and join the ransom-
ed hosts above It 1,ound her, ready, and
only awaiting her toaster's call. Her
illness she had borne with patience and!
resignation. The body accompanied by
the afflicted family and a great num-
ber or friends and neighbors was
brought, after a funeral service in the
Lutheran church at Dashwood, to the
Lutheran cemetery, where the remains
were interred. The surviving members'
