Dr. Williams' Pink Pills Cure Obstinate
Indigestion After Other Medicines
Fail.
"When I was first troubled with indi-
gestion 1 did not botner with it; I
thought, it would pass away naturally.
But instead of doing so it developed in-
to a painful Chronic affection, which in
spite of all I did grew worse and worse
until I had abandoned all hopes of ever
getting relief." These words of Mrs.
Chas. McNay, of Norwood, N. S., should
serve as a warning to all who suffer
distress after meals, with palpitation,
drowsiness and loss of appetite—early
warning of a more serious trouble to
follow..
"1 used to rise in the morning," said
Mrs. McKay, "feeling no better for a
night's rest. I rapidly lost flesh and
after even the most frugal mea] I al-
ways suffered severe pains in my
stomach. I cut my meals down to a
few mouthfuls, but even then every
morsel of food caused agony, my di-
gestion was so weak. Son -le days I
could scarcely drag myself about the
house, and I was never free from sharp
piercing pains in the back and chest. I
grew so bad that I had to limit my diet
to milk and soda water, and even this
caused severe suffering. In vain I
sought relief—all medicines I took seem-
ed useless. But in the darkest hour of
my suffering help came. While read-
ing a newspaper I came across a cure
that was quite similar to my own case,
wrought by the use of Dr. Williams'
Pink Pills. I thought if another person
bars 'teen cured by these pills of such
suffering as I was experiencing, surely
there was elope for me, and I at once
sent to the druggist for a supply cf
these pills. The first indication that the
pills were helping me was the disap-
pearance of the feeling of oppression.
Then I began to take solid food with
but little feeling of distress. I still con-
tinued taking the pills with an improve-
ment every day, until I could digest all
kinds of food without the least trouble
or distress. I am in splendid health
to -day and all the credit is due to Dr.
\Villiains' Pink Pills."
Dr. Williams' Pink Pills go right to
the root of indigestion and other trou-
bles by making rich, red blood which
tones and strengthens every organ ..f
the body. That is why they cure anae-
mia, with all the headaches and back-
aches and sideaches, rheumatism and
neuralgia and the special ailments :.f
growing girls and women of all ages.

They are Carefully Prepared.— Pills
which dissipate themselves in the
stomach cannot be expected to have
much effect upon the intestines, and to
overcome costiveness the medicine ad-
ministered must influence the action of
these canals. Parmelee's Vegetable Pills
are so made,' under the supervision of
experls, that the substance in them in-
tended to operate on the intestines is
retarded in action until they pass
through the stomach to the bowels.

Fresh grapes, he says, may be plucked
from: the vines in March and ripe 'cher
ries picked in December. The fruit, he
says, can be ripened by electric light,
"Fruit culture by electricity,"' stays Mr,
Thwaite in a recent interview•,."is no new
thing; It was fust tried twenty years
ago, and it has now reached a cornnaer-
tial phase. Extensive experiments have
been made in lsiarichester under my di•
rection • and the results were thoroughly
encouraging from a business point of
view.
"William Siemens was table to show
twenty years ago apples, bananas and
other fruit which he had brought to
maturity by electric light. He had ad-
vanced his experiments a considerable
way when he died and 1 toots them up
.where he• stopped. Metric light can he
produced at an enormously lower cost to-
day than in his time.
"The artificial development .of the
plants, also can be . helped along by
other means. They need not only light
but cnrl•onic acid. I feed them with it
by artificial means, Then, besides bash-'
ing them in electric light, I apply a feeble
electrostatic current, and this not only
stimulates the roots of the plants but
kills aIh parasites.
"The fruits which I produce are,
therefore, always sound, and they . ex-
cel, besides, in size, flavor and aroma.
Common sense and 'simplicity, are the
characteristics of tale new Method. Any
fruit grower can apply it easily and at
trifling expense."

AERIAL TORPEDO INVENTED.
M. IIenri Boudy, of Bordeaux, France,
has invented an aerial torpedo which,
be says, will revolutionize modern me-
thods of warfare. It is declared to he
neither lighter nor heavier than the air,
and its ballast is replaced by shells and
grenades for war purposes. As the car-
go is discharged on the enemy the ten-
dency to rise - is diminished by a piece
of intricate mechanism, the secret of
which M. Boody refuses to divulge ex-
cept to the French Minister of Wer, be -
fere whom it has already been laid. It
is claimed that the balloon can remain
in the air for several days at a height
of 16,000 feet. It can also be directed
in any course required by means of pro-
pellers.

A Small Pill, but Powerful.— They
that judge of the powers of a pill by its
size, would consider Parmelee's Vege-

wonder among pills. What it lacks in
size it makes up in potency. The re-
medies which it carries are put up, in

powerful that only small doses are re-
quired. The full strength of the ex-
