A strong advance guard is occupying Siuyen, which is being fortified.Japanese scouts have been seen at Hiticheng and on the Kaip- Wig road. General Kurolci remains at Fertgwangeheng, where fortifica- tione have been strengthened. Gailant Fighters. Litioyang, June 14. -Two -aeounded Cossacks, each wearing the cross of St. George, have arrived here. They tell a thrilling story of the fight near Taleushari. Thirty-nine Cossacks were sent to reconoitre the enemy's posi- tion, and when about live miles from Takushan they were suddenly sur- rounded by Japanese. The Cossacks charged with lance and were met with a volley from the Japanese, which resulted in, the dropping of twenty horses, the killing of two Cossacks and the wounding of six. Dismounted Cossacks scrambled be- hind their comrades' saddles.. With nearly every horse in the command carrying two men, the Cossacks charged three times, and though cov- ered with wounds, they cut their way out and rejoined the sotnia. Zvaouated Yinkow.
