account of the heavy roads. Messrs.
Willert and Sweitzer were nominated
for Reeve and Messrs. Anderson, Year-
Finkbeiner, of Crediton;
Webb, Wade and Finkbeiner, of Ship-

day school was au iunnense success.
The receipts amounting to $52. Tile
decoration committee did their work
well and deserve great praise for the
taste displayed in decorating the
church with greens and mottos suitable
for the occasion. - The grogram was a
lengthy one and the little ones -.-who
took part did so with an enthusiasm
which was not only amusing but show-
ed that they had their whole heart in
the evening's enjoyment. At the close
of the program each scholar was pre-
sented with a package of candy and
nuts. The different committees who
have had the matter in charge are to
be congratulated upon their work in
making this festival one of the hest
ever held in the village. -
