The Garden Party under the auspices
of the Presbyterian Church, held on.
Bawden's lawn, Tuesday evening, was
a success in every particular and a very
pleasant evening wits spent. The
grounds were beautifully decorated
with Chinese lanterns and presented
an elegant appearance. Music was
furnished by the Hensall Brass Band,
while refreshments were served by the
ladies,
Mr. Thos. Swale, of Elimville, very
kindly remembered the Editor of the
Advocate on Saturday last by leaving
him a mess of English broad beans and
early potatoes. Both were of excel-
lent sample, the largest of the potatoes
measuring 7 inches one way and 11

parents and relatives have the heart-
felt sympathy of the enrire town and
neighborhood. No written words can
convey to them the condolence extend-
ed in their behalf, nor will words af-
ford them any measure of relief from
the severe shock and profound afflic-
tion to which they have just been sub-
jected. The casket bore many beauti-

ger's superb military band of twenty

give a grand free noon -day concert on
