Only too True.
If the ruination of any boy is desired
let him roam the streets at will. There
is nothing that will ruin a boy as un-
watched liberty. It is during these
night carousals that he learns the vul-
garism which later on will grow to
something worse, and the idea of hav-
ing so little respect for himself or those
around hire. Alas, the above para-
graph is only too true, but the average
parent is much more to blame than the
boy. Too much carelessness on the
part of the parent is indulged in by al-
lowing the boys to roam :about of an
evening when they should be at home
or employed at some occupation.

Who Pays? .
1Vho pays for the advertising of the
merchants who advertise? Not the
man who does the advertising nor his
customers! Who foots the bill then ?.
Why, the fellow who does not adver-
tise. How can that be? Why, the
man who advertises draws far more
trade from the pian who does not ad-
vertise than pays his advertising hills.
Thus it is that, in every town, there
are a few who will persist in paying
for the advertising done by the pro-
gressive business, and instead of saving
money by refusing to_ advertise, they
simply refuse to -pay the other fellow's
bills, by allowing them to capture
their trade.

the various auxiliaries doing a good
work and contributing liberally ytothe
welfare of the church. Messrs. J. J.
Rnight and Thos. Hawkins were ..re-
elected church wardens; R. B. Samuel,
Treasurer, Jos. Davis, Vestry Clerk;
C. H. Sanders and N. D. Burden, Au-
ditors, and Ernest Elliott lay delegate
