of Mr. D. McTavish, of the Mill Road,
Tuckersmith, was the scene of a joy-
ous and very interesting event on
Wednesday, it being the uniting in
marriage of his sister, Miss Jessie, to
Mr. Frederick F. Bah, of this place.
The nuptial knot was securely tied
by the Rev. E. H. Somers, in his usual
happy manner, and was witnessed by
a number of invited guests. The bride,
as she entered the parlor, looked very
bewitching in a neat and handsome
costuroe and the groom may feel just-
ly proud of his worthy helpmate. Af-
ter the ceremony was over and con-
gratulations extended to the young
couple all repaired to the dining main
where tables were neatly an d elabora te-
ly spread and to which all did ample
justice, after whigh all present spent a
most enjoyable evening. The bride is
one of Tuckersmith's tairest daughters
area is a popular and estimable young
lady, while the groom is one of our
enterprising and promising young men
and is highly respected here. The

magnificent array and were not only

WEDDING. -The residence of Mr.
and Mrs. Joe. Gill was the scene of a
very pretty wedding on Wednesday,
March 25, when their daughter, Miss
Harriett, became the happy bride of
Mr. David Wilson, a well-known and
highly respected, as well as a prosper-
ous young farmer, of near Greenway.
The interesting ceremony, which unit-
ed these two for life took place at two
o'clock, -and the nuptial knot was se-
curely tied by the Rev. Mr. Anderson,
of Parkhill, in his usual pleasing man-
ner. The fair young bride as she took
her place beside the groom, presented
a beautiful appearance and her cos-
tume was very dainty indeed. Old Sol

forth in all -his splendor. .Miss R. Wil-
son assisted the bride and made a
charming bridesmaid, while the groom
was ably supported by Mr. John Gill.
After the ceremony- had been perform-
ed and the bride duly kissed and con-
gratulated, theatteneion of the guests,
which numbered about seventy-five,
was attracted by tbe tables in the -next
room groaning under the hospitality
of mine ,hest. Several relief parties
were organized with result that the
moaning was transferred from the for-
mer to the latter. After the eatables
had been disposed of in the most a,p-
proved fashion very pleasant time
was spent by all. The happy couple
were then driven to Parkhill, where
they took the train ;for Port Huron
to spend their honeymoon. On their
reeurn they will take tip their residence
on Mr. Wilson's fine farm, one mile
and a quarter west of Greenway. Mrs.
'Wilson is admired and beloved by a
wide circle of friends, and she leaves
Grand Bend with the sincere wishes of
all for her future happiness. She was
the recipient of inany gifts, which
formed a magnificent array, compris-
ing articles of use and value. We have
great pleasure in joining with her num-
erous friends in bes1 wishes for the fu-
ture happiness and welfare of herself

sixty of the relatives of the happy
couple, gathered at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Jacob Roeder, on Wednesday
evening, to witness, the marriage of
their daughter, Miss Mary, to Mr. Ell -
mor Klopp, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs.
Wm. Klopp, of the Bronson line. The
marriage ceremony took place at six
o'clock and was conducted by Rev. Ei-
fert, of the Lutheran church, Dash-
wood. Miss Clara Klopp, sister of the
groom acted as bridesmaid, while Mr.
Ernest Roeder, brother of the bride,
supported the groom. After congratu-
lations and good wishes had been ex-
tended to the newly wedded pair, the
gathering adjourned to the dining
room,where a ma,gnificent simper (such
as only German cooks can prepare)
was thoroughly enjoyed by all, Mr.
and Mrs. Klopp were the recipients of
a large number of useful and handsome
presents. The evening was pleasantly
spent by all presentin all kinds of
games and amusements, and the dawn
of the coming day was not far off when
the last of the guests departed for their

SMOTHERED TO DEATH.
Aylmer, Ont, March 26. -The in-
fant child of !dr. and Mrs. Newton
Leach, Fourth avenue, Aylmer, was
found dead in its bed about 8 o'clock
this this inorning. The child was ap-
parently- aheight at 7 o'clock, but when
its mother went to care for it at 8
o'clock it was dead. It is supposed to
have smothered to death.
