Municipal Slate • To THE EDITOR ADVOCATE. DEAR Slit:-- . 1 quite agree with your remarks of last week in relation to municipal Elections. You say we should select good and reliable men before Tom, Dick and Harry is nominated on the spur of the moment and thereby elect- ed. Allow me to say that with a good council a poor reeve is harmless, and with a poor council a good reeve is helpless. Therefore leaving the Reeveship out of the, question, let us slate for council. First, John Muir,an old and, tried servant, a man of inte- grity, nte grity, brains and decided opinions. James Creech, our old road commis- sioner, a man, :of great experience in road -making, which will be a great 1 factor in the next year or two, an j honest, hasty `but experienced and responsible man. C. H. Sanders, a man of all round liberal views, good' judgment and sound sense. Then Irving Armstrong, a tried councillor or a man, of repute, judgment and level headed consistency. How would that suit the town for a council for 1903? If those gentlemen offer for election, can we better the lot. Per- sonally I would like to support those gentlemen. Your Truly, ALERT CITIZEN.
