wEDDDIG BEnos.-1A. very pleasant
and happy event took place on Wed-
nesday at the beautiful home of Mr.
and Mrs. James Barbour, when their
third daughter, Miss Maid, was united
in the holy bonds of matrimony to Mr.
jellies Davis, of Harrington. Rev. Mr.
Cra nston,- of Cromarty, performed the
marriage ceremony at 6 o'clock in the
presence of a goodly number of the rel-
atives of the bride and groom. The
bride was very handsomely attired in
white Persian lawn, with trimmings
to match; she also wore a bridal veil
and wreath. The wedding march was
played by Mrs. Andrew Patrick, sister
of the bride. After hearty congratu-
lations were bestowed on the newly
wedded pair, the company proceeded
to the spacious dining room, where a
-bountiful and well arranged spread
awaited them, which was fully appre-
ciated by all. The presents were ex-
ceptionally fine and beautiful, and of
an exceeding choice variety, and only
represent in a small degree the high
esteem in which the bride and groom
are held. The evening was enjoyably
spent by all. Mr. and. Mrs. Davis left
for their home in Harrington on Fri-
day, and their host of friends will
uniteWith os in extendbig to them the
heartiest congratulations and wishing
them the greatest measure of 'happi-
ness and prosperity in their new rela-
tions.
