Judge Doyle. H. J. D. Cooke, barris-

DEATH OF MRS. T. McIaarnE.-On
Thursday last death claimed another
of the old settlers who have contribut-
ed so much to make Huron Co. in
every respect, one of the best in Onlar-
' • the person of Mrs. Thos. Man-
io, in e
tyre, who had attained the good ago
of 77 years. Mrs. McIntyre was born
in the North of Ireland being, the only
child of James Walker. When quite
young she was bronght with. her -par-
ents to Canada and the fa.mily settled
near Iroquois in the eastern part of the
province. She was married at Moun-
tian to Thos. leIcIntyre about 50 years
ago an d after tbe birth of two child-
ren they moved so Stanley bp., and set-
tled on the Babylon line when this
whole section was a wilderness. Here
they hewed out a home, suffering all
the hardships incident to a settlement

in a new country. Her husband de-
parted this life about 13 years ago.
