and Ferguson, and is now improving
nicely. -Mrs. Mary Davis and daugh-
ter, Miss Maggie, left last week for
Alberta, where they intend to reside,
in the future`with Mrs.Davis' two sons
who have taken up land there. -The
Epworth League held their nomina-
tion of officers on Friday. -The school
has again reopened, after being closed
for the Easter holidays. -31r. Norman
Fletcher hats disposed of his driver to
Mr. W. M. Leigh for a good figure. -
The Misses Willa Stout and Rachel
Kirk, of the Normal school, London,
were spending their Easter holidaysat
their/respective hofnes here. -Messrs.
F.J.Davis and VVna.Davis, after spend-
ing a few clays with friends here, have
returned to Strathroy.-Miss Phoebe
In Tufts, who enjoyed her Easter va-
cation at her home here, has returned
to resume her duties in the Greenway
public school, -Mr. Thos. Blake has en-
gaged with Mr. John Elliott & Son for
the summer. -Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Switzer and family, of the base Hee,
have become residents of our village.
Mr. Joseph `Eollingshead has engaged
with Mr. -J.F.Stinson to erect the Gem
Wire fence. -Mrs. Peter McNa ughton
and family and her mother, Mrs.Gray,
spent the Easter holidays with friends
in St. Thomas. -Mr. Silas Shier, was
confined to his house with another a t-
taolc of inflammation last week, but is
now on the mend.
