Parkhill Gazette-Review:—The Mis-

Brown, B.A., of Exeter, in the Metho-

The congregations were good and the
offerings of the day were almost equal
to the total raised last year after the
collectors had. done their work, thus
insuring anadvance in Missionary con-

will be marked from about the Sth to

new moon on the Oth it will grow much
warmer, falling barometer will appear
in western partsand very Vecided
storms will quickly follow, travelling
eastward and touching most sections
of the country from about the Stis to
the 10th. An energetic. shortlived
high barometer may possibly rush in

the chances are good for continued and
general storms oyer the 10th and into

The Huron. Old Boys.
Stories of the "Huron Tract," and of
the men and women who won it for
civilization, were much in evidence at
the big at-home of the Huron Old Boys
at Toronto Friday night. That the folk
who hewed Huron out of the bush
have left worthy decendauts was made
evident to even the most casual obser-
ver. Huron people, even after the
years of city life, are notable for their
fine physique. Col. Otter will do as a
case in point. The at-home of Friday
night was held in the Assembly Hall,
and excellent preparations had been
made for the entertainment of the
guests. These efforts were thoroughly
appreciated, for the attendance great-
ly surpassed that of former occasions.
The President, 1VIr.E. Moody, occupied
the chair, and the guests seated on the
platform were: --Col. Otter, D. 1VIcGil-

Robert Holmes, M.P., W. R. Miller, J.
Sherritt, M.P., Major Hall, VV". Proud -

Elliott Winghana The proceedings
were opened with a few remarks by
the Chairman, who felt confident that
the association was held in very high
estimation, not only by the ex -resi-
dents living in Toronto, but also by
01d boys in other parts of Canada. Col.
Otter said that there Were menyold
boys present, but - there were no old
