their annual oyster supper at Mr. Sas.,
.Amos' iesidence, where about one
hundred and thirty friends • met to-
gether and spent a pleasant evening.
Supper consisted of oysters, salmon

and a great variety. of dainties pre-
pared by the ladies of the Circle. Af-
tersepper a very interesting program
was rendered, consisting of music by
the band, readings by -members of the
circle, and songs by Mr. Knott, Miss
Lewis and. Mr. Alvin Arnos;recitations
by MissR. L. Amos and Mr. J. W. Gil-
bert, and shorts practical addresses by
members of the circle and - others

among whom were Messrs. D.Urskine,
D. Hutchinsoize T. Gilbert and W.
Fraser. .The 'friends dispersed at a,
very late hour, feeling very much •
pleased_ that they had. attended the
gathering and trustleg.that it will be

a fierce blizzard that raged last night,
