Exeter District W. M. S.
The annual convention of the Wo-
men's Missionary Socities of the Exe-
ter district was held in the Methodist
chinch here on Tuesday. About 50
delegates were in attendance and the
town people also turned out in good
numbers to enjoy the three sessions.
The papers read were good presenta-
tions of the various phases of the
missionary work and the reports from
the different auxiliaries showed the
work to be in a progressive condition.
Mrs. D. N, MacLeod presented in a
very happy manner the greetings from
the Presbyterian Church. Society.
The delegates and friends were enter-
tained by the ladies of the congrega-
tion in the church parlors after the
afternoon session. The' evening ses-
sion Was addressed by the Rev. G.
Daniels, of Sarnia, who, gave a most
eloqueaat plea for missions, also by
Mrs. McKay, of Toronto, who gave
a most tender and instructive, address.
