A Decision Adverse to the Claims or the Northern Pacific. Minneapolis, Minn., Nov. 21. -Judge Prather, on Saturday rendered an oral decision at Spokane against the Northern Pacific. of a claim to 200 feet on each side of the track as its permanent right of way. The case involves millions of dollars. The claim of the company rests on the contention that, once granted 200 feet on each side of its -track through the public domain as right of way, no part of this property may ever be taken, up. The decision of the court is that except for a strip of land actually needed for the railroad's right of way, the public cain acquire full title te the remain- der by adverse possession.
