Goderich : During Friday night the
cash drawer of the Colborne hotel was
robbed of between $45 and $50. Only
on a few occasions has so much cash
been left in the till, and then, as this
time, through forgetfulness. The en-
trance to bar was made by driving out
the door key, which hacl been left in
the door, and thenopening with an-
other key, a rather easy matter, as
the look was a common one. The
theft most have taken place between
three o'clock on Saturday morning
and daylight, as the hostler was wait-
ing in an adjoining apartment for a
horse to be brought in, and it struck
three just after he locked the stable.

B ucefield; Mr. Thos. Fraser of the
2nd. concession of. Stanley, had the
misfortune to meet with a very pain-
ful accident on Thursday. He was
driving along the road leading from
Clinton homewards, and, when pass-
ing aver a culvert, the sudden jolt
caused one of the shafts to become de-
tatched, allowing the buggy to swing
in, all. directions. Finally Mr. Fraser
wasthrown headlong out into the
ditch., falling on his head and shoul-
ders, causing sotne bruises on his head'
and fat ce and dislocating one of his
shoulders. The horse getting free
from the buggy made off on its own
account, but doing very little damage
to itself or the buggy. '.Fortunately
the accident was noticed by Mr. Chas.'
Ross, who succeeded in. conveying Mr.
Fraser home and summoning medical
attendance:
