The. Love of
Flowers.
I love the mea ry spri ng time
When the {I ,wars are all in bloom,
And I think it a pity
That the winter seals their doom.
There are beauties seen in nature
Far beyond the art of man,
For nature gives a finish
As no artist ever can.
Have you, my friend, considered.
As you walk through nature's bower,
How fine the colors blended
In the various tinted flowers.
• It seems almost a mystery,
Too great to understand,
To see the countless•millions
That's scattered o'er this laud.
Some say the flowering hawthorn
Is the fairest tree that grows,
Yet, what flower was ever fairer
Than our own Canadian Rose,
There ,tre many scenes of grandeur
In this Canada of ours,
And none exceeds the beauty
Of a garden full of flowers.
