NUISANCE. -Last Sunday I. saw a
very disgraceful scene, seven or eight
youuig men, perfectly nude, bathing
and wanting around on the bank of
the Saubke, a very short distance from
the Lake road, ,justas the people were
going to eunday school. I ascertained
the names of the young men and for
their future guidance, let me say, that
they were violating a very stringent
law, On the complaint of any person,
each one of those young men could be
hauled up before a J. P. having juris-
diction dud fined $20, or a certain time
in jail. Now boss take my advice and
don't let this occur again.

Onrr.—Again the cold hand of death
has come into our midst and taken
away one of our fair sex in the person
of Miss Martha Hockey, who died on
Wednesday Of last week, at the yotrth-
ful age of 25 years and 0 months, The
deceased. had been residing in London
and arrived home just a few days prev-
ious to her death. She complained of
feeling ill a day or so later, but little
or no attention was paid to it, when
suddenly she took a change for the
worse andor ieal assistance
before mod k e
arrived she had passed to the Great
Beyond. Her death was supposed to
have been caused by heart trouble.
Her remains were interred in the Exe-
ter cemetery last Friday. The Rev.
Mr. Litt officiating. The bereaved have
the sympathy of the community.
OF Mus Ii11:DD1.—This week
we are called upon to record the death
of one of the oldest, if not the oldest
resident of the township, in the person
of Mrs. Elizabeth Roddy, relict of the
,late Robert Reddy, who passed to the
silent majority on Tuesday last at the
advanced age of 88 years and 6 months.
The deceased, some time ago slipped
and fell, fracturing the neck of the
thigh bone, from which time she has
been gradually failing, and never
rallied from the shock, until death en-
ded her sufferings. She was a native
of England, and was born at Lund,
Yorkshire, in 1809; was married to
Robert Keddy, who died 29 years ago,
and emigrated to Canada in 1830,
settling first in thetownship t w of Hope,
A
_ P,
where nine of her ten children were
born. In 1853 she moved with her
husband and family west, settling in
the township of Usborne, on the farm
where she has just died, At that time
there was not such a thing as a church
or school, and but few roads had been
cut ; travellers had generally to guide
themselves by the " blaze" cut in the
trees, Mrs. Reddy was of amiable and
kind disposition, a good wife and moth-
er, and her heart was in her household.
She bore her illness with loving pat•
fence, and in the calm security of faith
in her Saviour's merits passed. to her
eternal rest. The family consists of
four sons and four daughters, viz:
John, Brandon, Man.; Ralph, success-
ful farmer in Usborne; William, Nan
armo, B. C; Walter, oceupying the
homestead ; Mrs. Homey, Usborno; Mrs.
Down, Iona ; Hannah, wife of David
Cobbledick; and Susanna, at home.
The sympathy of the whole commun-
ity is with the bereaved family, The
funeral takes place to -day (Thursday)

Some two weeks ago a smart young

When You Are Tired
Without extra exertion, languid, dull
and listless, your blood is failing to
supply to your muscles and other or-
gans the vitalizing and strength giv-
ing properties they require. Hood's
Sarsaparilla cures that tired feeling
by enriching and purifying the blood.
It will give you energy and vigor.
Hood's Pills are easy to take, easy to
operate. Cure indigestion, biliousness.
