In eombination, proportion and
process Hood's Sarsaparilla is peculiar
to itself, and unequalled in true merit.
No other medicine ever possessed so
much curative power; or reached such
enormous sales, or inacle such won-
derful cures, as Hood's Sarsaparilla.
Itis undoubtedly the best medicine
ever made to purify, vitalize and en-
rich the blood.
That is the secret of its success.
Read this statement:
"When my son was 7 years of age, he
had rheumatic fever and acute rheuma-
tism, which settled in his left hip. He
was so sick that no one thought there was
any help for him. Five sores broke out
on his thigh, which the doctor said were
f
sores. We had three different doctors.
Pieces of bone came out of the sores. The
last doctor said the leg would have to be
cut open and the bone scraped, before he
could get well. Howard became so low
that he would eat nothing, and one doc-
tor said there was no chance for him.
it One day, a newspaper recommending
Hood's Sarsaparilla was left at our door.
We decided to try this medicine. Howard
commenced taking It the last of February,
after having been aid; for a year and a
ure
half. He hadn't taken it a week before I
saw that his appetite began to improve,
and then he gained rapidly. I gave him
five bottles, when the sores were all healed
and they never broke out again. The
crutches he had used for four years were
laid aside, as he had no further use for
them. I give all the credit to Hood's Sar-
saparilla." Mets. ADA L. Moon', Fay

Thinks As Highly of Paine's
Celery Compound As He
Did Years Ago,
Mr. J. T. Dillon, Chairman of the
Board of Assessors of the city of Mon-
treal, is one of the best known and
most popular citizens of the great met-
ropolis.
As Mr. Dillon had some years ago
given public testimony regarding the
life-giving virtues of Paine's Celery
Compound, he was recently asked if his
opinions had in any way changed as
far as the value of the great curing
medicine is concerned.
Mr, Dillon's reply was prompt, and
his statement as strong as words could
make it• His brief letter reads as fol-
lows:
,, I am in receipt of your valued
favor, and would say that I most cheer-
fully testify again to the worth, value
and merits of Paine's Celery Compound.
" I am never without a bottle of it
in my possession, and I partake of it
daily. This I have been in the habit
of doing for some seven years, and can
affirm that, judging from eiperience,
it is a most wonderful nerve restorer
and tonic. Hardly a day passes by me
that I am not asked the question,
What do you do to yourself to pre-
serve your youthful appearance ?'
My reply is, ' I take Paine's Celery Com-
pound.'"

On Saturday evening Peter Shew-
burg, of the town line of Howard and
Harwich, met with an accident which
•will probably result fatally. Mr. Shew-
burg was drawing in hay, and in com-
ing from the field to the road the load
turned over, the rack of the wagon
striking him on the back. He was af-
terwards dragged a considerable div
tante by the horses, When picked up
he was unconscious. He is unable to
move any of his limbs and it is feared
he .cannot recover. The spine is par-
`alysed, and he is also suffering from a
complication of internal injuries,
The three-year-old son of John Ray

extinct.
A cow owned by John Solomon, of
Rosemont, gave birth to a calf the oth-
er day that is really a freak of nature
not often heard of. The body of the
calf is reversed according to the usual
order of things; all the internal organs
are on the outside and the skin is in
the inside. The head is the only part
that is natural; the body is virtually
