Excitement, overwork and worry are
ruining the health of thousands o;!
women. Pure Blood is required to
feed the nerves, a good appetite and
digestive strength are demanded , to
keep the body. strong ` and vigorous,
and to restore the exhausted energies
there must be sound and refreshing
e " u
By its power to respond to all these
needs Hood's Sarsaparilla has proved.
itself, the greatest friend of women.
Thousands write that they have been
given health and strength by its use.
It is thegreat blood purifier, and con-
sequently the trate nerve tonic.
"I: feel that 'I should be wanting in

benefit my wife has derived from Ilood's

and was strongly advised by a friend
to try Hood's Sarsaparilla, She said it
had cured her and would no doubt cure
my wife. So we tried it, and to say that
its effect is wonderful, is only using a
mild expression. It appears to be build-
ing up a new constitution for her; and,
as we are a family of eleven, there are
eleven of us rejoicing at the result.
"If the foregoing induces only one per
son,' suffering in the same manner, to try
Hood's Sarsaparilla, I shall feel more than
rewarded." EnaTATI PAoxr rn, 585 Mon-

ly he has a great deal of money, but olid

his ooefidence xray that Digamml is a
rpm -Heal doctor and army of'.cer, and
that ho is in this country endeavoring,
evith inore or less success, to secure re-
cruits for the rebel ranks in Cuba from
among the negro race in Canada. Osten-
sibly he will hire thein to work on the
plantations, so the eontraot reads, but
in reality they agree to join the insur-
gents and help the Cuban revolutionary
cause.
The knowing ones say that Daganrmi
was attracted to Chatham• by accounts
of its hirge nolorod population, which at
the present time might be counted on as
a valuable roorniting ground for the
Cuban rebels, but there does not appear
to bo any general desire among them to
go to flgthing for a living.
He gives out that he has met with fair
success, and will be satisfied if he can
on this trip enlist an even 1,000 colored
Canadians. He left to -day for. St, Cathar-

horses. Coulson knew Oliphant was in
the horse business, and thought every-

In an interview to -day Senator San-
ford, the thief of the Sanford Manufac-
turing Company, said he had not de-
cided on the removal of the factory to
Toronto, but had been considering the
advisability of doing so. '.Iia gave several
reasons why it would bo in his interests
to go to Toronto, one being that it is a
larger distributing center than Hamil-
ton. Ho referred to the low price paid
for making overalls there, as compared
with the prices here. Another reason is
that the Senator is thinking of extend-
ing the business, and manufacturing
mantles and ladies' costumes.

THE CHIEF ORGAN
OF THE BODY.
When Rebellious and Out
of Order Paine's Celery
Compound is Your
Only Hope.
It Brings Comfort,. Happiness
and Health.
Too few recognize the fact that the
stomach is the chief organ of the body.
When this great and guiding organ is
out of order, every other organ depend
iug on it for nourishment is affected by
sympathy, So long as digestion is
properly performed, and healthy fluids
secreted from the food, the body is nour-
ished. When the stomach is inactive
the system is impoverished, and dis-
ease rapidly develops. '
If your stom1eh is rebellious and out
of gear, be assured your whole system
will soon give a tideuce of trouble, •and
your life will be a miserable one,
When you suffer the tortures of in-
digestion and dyspepsia, just remem-
ber that Paien's Celery Compound, has
brought ease, comfort, happiuess and
health to thousands in the past, This
marvellous and tyonder-workiug med-
icine when used for a short time restores
perfect digestion, and gives to every
organ new life and activity.
Thousands of the strongest testimou
ials are on fyle from our best Canadian
people testifying to the efficacy of
Paine's Celery Compound in cases of
stomach troubles that could not be
cured by any other medicine. These
hitters of testimony can be inspected
at any time.
It is folly, dear reader, to continue
in suffering' from dangerous stomach
troubles. One bottle of Patne's Celery
ijompound may suffice to give you free-
dom from pain and misery; one single
battle has often banished the dreaded
enemy forever. You neighbors and
friclads have been cured by Paine's
Celery Cempouud. Do not delay its
use in your own case.
