MAi3ELINE is a positive cure for all
uterine troubles. It is not necessary to
enumerate them here. It is the general cus-
tom in describing a remedy to fill the ad-
verti ingmectfum with a medical 'treatise,
describing, in a highly colored manner,
symptoms andforms of disease, seieutif3ical-
ly, and in such a way as to involve the read-
er in a maze of theory and speculation. We
avoid ail this sensational way of advertis-
ing. If you are sick it is presumed that you
know oft he fact and can form some idea of
what your ailment is, and we can only ad-
vise you ggenerally.

LIVE STOCK MARKETS.
At the western Cattle yards this morn-
ing we had, all told, just 70 loads of
clleringe, including about a couple of
thousand hogs, 1,500 lambs and sheep, 50
calves and a few' milkers. The market
was a poor one; stuff was selling, but
prices wore very low, For export cattle
the top prise paid for fancy lots was 4o
per pound, and this was got with diffi-
culty; quotations ranged from 3i c up
to 390 for really choice loads, and at
those figures about everything was sold.
Butchers' cattle was mostly of inferior
quality, the small quantity of superior
stuff being readily oaught rap at from 3
to 310 por pound. Most of the deals
ranged from 2% to 29yo; 30 was a good
price for loads to fetch. A fair business
was done eventually, but trading was
slow, and some stuff was left over. The
floor condition of tho market at Mont-
real yesterday was reflected here. We had
1,500 sheep and lambs; Jambs are worth
from $1.75 to $2.75 each, and were in
ample supply to -day. A buyer was Here
from. Buffalo looking for lambs, but did
not purchase any. Export sheep sold at
from 3 to 3 1 -So per pound, and good
ones aro wanted; bucks are worth 2Mo
per pound, Calves were weaker, and
common calves are not wanted. A few
bulls are required for export at from 8
to 31,40 per pound, but they roust be
choice. Milkers aro unchanged, with
only a slow enquiry. Hogs were weaker,
the best qualities selling off 1-8o per
pound. Choice off car hogs fetch 4 1-89
per pound, and prospects are for a slight
further reduction; thick fat sell at 814o;
sows at 3e, and stags at 2c per pound.
Store hogs will not sell at any price, so
it is no use sending them here.
DAIRY PRODUCE.
Butter — Creamery butter is selling
rather slowly at present, owing to the
largo offerings of dairy in large and
small rolls. Poop14 from the fair dom-
ing from the surrounding district have
brought in baskets, and the supply from
this source is quite large. Prices aro un-
changed. Quotations here are as follows:
Dairy, tub, choice, 13 to 14;e.c, do., low
grades to medium, 8 to 10o; large roll,
11 to 180; pound prints, 13 to 15e;
creamery tubs, 18 to 19e; pounds, 20 to
210.
Cheese—Steady and unchanged. Deal-
ers are buying round lots of new cheese
at 711/4o, delivered here, and reselling at
8% to 8No.
Perth, Ont, Sept. 5.—To-day 400
boxes of oheee were brought into Perth
market, all white; 9 cents freely offered,
but only one lot sold at that price; bal-
ance shipped to Montreal for storage.
Factorymen holding for higher prices.
Four buyers from Montreal and Brock-
ville.
DRESSED HOGS AND PROVISIONS.
On the street to -day a few lots of
aressed hogs sold at $5.50. Provisions
remain unchanged. The tone is steady,
but demand is rather slow. Prices to-
day ruled as follows: Barrelled pork,
