Edward Mooney, of Maidstone, has begun suit to recover $15,000 damages from the Michigan Central Railway Company, in connection with the death of his sons, William and Thomas, who were run over by an express train at a crossing in Essex Center. Mr. John Grant, Aberfeldy, had a very close call from what might have been a fatal accident. While engaged in putting the sawmill saw in shape, an emery wheel burst, one of the pieces striking Mr. Grant od' the left side of the face near the temple. John Fitzhenrv, for many rears care taker of the old Roman Catholic ceme tory in Ellice, died at the Stratford hos- pital Tuesday morning, being 75 years old.
