from the hospital, as the doctors there could do
nothing to help her, and said she would neves
be any better. She was in a very low condition

weak action of the heart. The trip across the

She would have spells when her heart would
pain her, and then, with the outside door, open
in mid -winter, -would faint away. Physicians,
after 'misting a consultation,
Said She Was Past All Help

Wingharm On Thursday afternoon
Of last week, while house cleaning, irirs
Wadly fell off some boxes on which
she was standing, breaking her thigh
bone. At her age, it is yery doubtful
if she will ever recover. The town
has secur.d a nurse for her, but the
physician attending her advises that
she be taken to, the hospital, as she
needs perfeet quietness.
The case of Mr. [Samuel Hanna, an
esteemed resident of Manyers, Ont, has
attracted the attention of hundreds
living in the district, Seim Mr.
Hanna's cure, by the use of Paine's
Celery Compound, scores who were
previously skeptical, are now thorouh
ly convinced that every word and sen-
tenCe of praise written in favor of
Paine's Celery Compound in, the past,
is true and deserving.
As a speedy curer of disease, a
strengthener and health -giver, the
vast majority of men and women in
Canada admit that Paine's Celery Com-
pound has no equal. Mr. Hanna writes
thus about his wonderful cure: -
"After severe sckness and suffering
for a length tit time, am happy to
state that was made well by Paine's
Celery Compound. To be raised up
from a low and weak state inside of
two weeks, is a marvellous work, which
nothing else hut Paine's Celery Com-
pound could have accomplished.
"After using half the first bottle of
the Compound, 1 was able to dig the
holes for a forty rod fence, and help to
build it. Before using Paine's Celery
Compound, 1 could not sleep, and had
no appetite; now 1 enjoy good sleep,
and a healthful appetite. Paine's Cel-
ery Compound is worth its weight in
gold to any sufferer; it is the bestmedi7

Nova Scotia Licut.-Governorship.
Halifax, June 8.-Tbere is a rumor in
circulation that Sir Charles Hibbert, Tup-
per will succeed to the Lieutenant-Govere
norsbip of Nova Scotia for the next term.
Mr. Daly's time expires next month.
There has been an idea that Mr. Daly
would be reappointed, as he has made a
very popular official, but on the other
hand it has been understood that there
have been several claimants to the posi-
dee, some extremely unsuitable. These
would be likely to resent a second. term,
but perhaps it might be considered the
difficulty would be solved by the appoint-
ment of Sir Charles Hibbert.
Propose to Save $25,000.
St. John's, Nfld., June 10. -One of. the
Whiteway Government's retrenchment
proposals is • the abolition of the Allan
Line ocean mails between Philadelphia,
Halifax, St. John's and Liverpool, and
tire substitution therefor of a special ser-
vice between St. John's, Halifax and Bos-
ton by local steamers. This, it is estima.
ted, will effect a saving of 525,000 and will
largely Increase the trade between New-
foundland and New Bugland. This new
schemets strongly approved of by busi-
ness people, because opportnnities are
offere(t for the develpment of mutual
trade which will probably result eventu-
ally in a reciprocity agreement.
