COUNCILLOR GEORGE F. MORSE.
The admiration accorded certain pub-
lic men is due to their splendid moral
courage.
Great moral courage and determin-
ation are impossible without a sturdy
digestion, a healthy lever, and a yigor-
ously nourished nervous system. No
one can imagine a Gladstone. Salis
bury, Laurier, Thompson, or any great
champion of his party in parliament-
ary debate, with a badly nourished
brain, a weak digestion, and shaky
nerves. Only the healthy man, whose
organs are doing their duty, is firm,
convincing, magnetic, courageous.
A man of ideas need sound health to
carry them out, aiid a clear, cool brain
is better than a shaky one, however
brilliant. The men who can work long
hours under pressure win success, and
fame depends oftener on a strong
provement of appetite and gradual
gain in weight. This remarkable rem-
edy sets to work at once to nourish
nerve centres and purify the blood of
harmful humors. It was the belief of

perfectly nourished in tissue, blood and

organs like the liver, kidneys, heart

Bright Spring Bays.
The spring should be pre-eminently
a season of contentment happiness and
hope. In these bright and pleasant
months the country should enjoy its
highest degree of tranquility and pros-
perity. But spring, it is well known,
is often a period of discomfort and dis-
turbance in the physicial system. Im-
portant organs of the body become tor-
pid or irregular in their action, and
the fact is instantly reflected in the
mental coition of the individual. A
disordered liver means disordered ner-
yes and a dull and unsteady brain.
Anything which will bring the phy-
sical system iuto harmony with bud-
ding
udding nature confers an enormous ben-
efit upon tho nation, besides the mere
allaying of physcal discomfort. Hood's
Sarsaparilla does this, as thousands of
grateful and happy men and women
can testify and increased use of this
standard spring medicine is of more re: 1
practical importance in promoting
health and quiet in the business world
than reams of abstract theorizing.
