On Friday lent a team of horses, owned
Mr. Henry Anaerson, of the 7th con. of
Usborne, wan away with the mowing maoh-
tne. They jumped over a rail fence, taking
the machine after them through the bush,
where the machine was soon torn to atoms.
The horses continued the tun with the pole
and whifdelrees, bat were captured unhurt.
The machine is a total wreck.

oldest and most respected citizens by the
death of Mr. Parsons.
Last week the many friends of Mies Mary
Jones of Ailsa Craig, were startled to hear

had been 111 for some time but her death
was not expected.

just as an approaching engine was about to
strike her. She is hard of hearing and was
unaware of her danger. '
The report that Mr. D. M. Cameron, of
Strathroy, is to be appointed Sheriff of
Middlesex county, is not generally
acoepted as true, and there are a few very
sore beads la consequence. It is said the
appointment will be made this week.
