A SUPERB ENTERTAINMENT The lovers of humor and:music will have a treat on Thursday evening, January 26, when the charming, young Elecutionist, Miss Florence Washington, will make her appearance in Drew's hall, Exeter. She will be assisted by the cleverest ot all Comedians, Mr, W. E. Ramsay, and the distinguished Pianiat, Mrs. Sena Ramsay, in presenting a superb literary, humorous and musical entertainment. Miss Wash- ington has made the most pronounced success, both in the United Settee and England, and is spoken :of in the highest terms by the press. Her versatility, magnetic power of delineation, as well as the rich, sweet voice, have plAced her in the front rank of her profession and made her the legitimate successor of Mrs, Scott Siddons. The scenes from popular playa, such as Sheridan's "School of Scan- dal" and Boacicaultisi"London Assurancd are admirably portrayed by Miss Washing- ton. Whether as Sir Peter or Lady Teazle, Lady Gay Spanker or Sir Harcount, her rendering is tasteful and really clever. As for Mr, Ramsay, he is well known, and the cleverest in his line. His singing and acting are at once the wonder and admira- tion of all the critics and the public and it is safe to say, will make a popular bit with the Exeter amusement seekers. Mr.Rame say will be remembered as appearing here with tbe Chautauqua Orchestra: Mrs. Ramsay, too, is an artist of the highest re- putation, and will doubtless furnish a great treet to the lovers of music. With such eminent artists, an exceptionally strong prominence rnay be looked for and the town hall on January 26 should be crowded to its utmost. BIRT HS.
