The Monetary Times,in commenting upon this.move says: It is not to be wondered at, in view of the great accumulation of money in the hands of the tbanke.Tiaeir• total ,Saving Bank deposits this year reach $103,000,000 as compared with $12,000,000 a year ago. The Times thinks it is quite in order for the banks to reduce their interest rate. Verity, who yesterday morning left for Toren to, but as to whether it will be accepted and the large works located here is in doubt.
