The County of Huron, Homes for the Aged requires a full-time
Maintenance Person to perform duties under the supervision
and direction of the Financial Manager. You will be planning,
organizing and undertaking routine maintenance activities,
make inspections and minor repairs to machinery, the
building and equipment as well as generally guiding the
activities of the Handy Person.
The successful candidate will start as soon as possible and
have a willingness to work as a team member with other
employees of the facilities, mostly at Huronlea. This position
is thirty-seven and half hours per week with weekend shifts
over winter months and you may be required to work various
shifts including evenings and nights.
Qualifications:
• Grade 12 diploma
• Recognition courses in maintenance or stationary engineer
and other related topics preferred.
• General knowledge of computer applications (e.g. “Insight”)
