EXETER - On Nov. 12,
Beta Alpha Master
Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi
toured the renovated
basement east wing of
South Huron Hospital
with Robin MacDonald of
Anago Resources as
guide. The rooms, which
are tastefully decorated,
provide approximately
5,000 square feet of space
for senior citizens, Anago
clients and a toy lending
library. When the Day
Away project officially
opens, there will be many
opportunities for volun-
teer involvement.
Later, in the Board and
Auxiliary Room, president
Pat Fletcher opened the
business meeting by wel-
coming two guests,
Regina Switzer and
Brenda Gooding of Grand
Bend.
The Christmas Party
will be celebrated with
Sister Chapters on Dec. 3
at the Masonic Hall at
6:30 p.m.
The group decided to
make a donation to the
Goderich Cancer Society's
breast screening clinic to
purchase hospital gowns.
The next meeting will
be held at the home of
Bev Delbridge on Nov. 26
at 8 p.m. Faye Van Oss of
Unique Baskets will dis-
play a variety of
Christmas decorations
and gifts. Food donations
can be brought for the
Food Bank or clothing
donations for teenagers
for the Christmas
Bureau.

served by co-hostesses

Blue Water
residents look
forward to
open house
ZURICH - The residents
of Blue Water Rest Home
are looking forward to the
upcoming week of activi-
ties. To start off, residents
will be making pumpkin
pie for the upcoming
Harvest Dinner.
Entertainment will be
provided for the week by
Gladys Van Egmond and
Her Merry Makers, The
Christian Reformed Choir
and the Grand Bend
Seniors Band.
Another highlight for
the week will be the
Christmas Open House
hosted by Wanda Regier
with several articles from
her store ‘One Of A Kind’
in Bayfield. This will take
place Nov. 21 from 1 to 8
p.m. Everyone is wel-
come.
This past week’s events
included entertainment
by The Zurich
Connection who kept
everyone’s toes tapping.
Art Coker played an after-
noon of familiar songs on
the organ. The monthly
birthday party was hosted
by Zurich United Church
members. The church
choir did a wonderful job
singing hymns.
Thursday’s chapel ser-
vice was conducted by
Les Hills followed by Mass
with Father Francais.
In the last week of
November, Christmas
decorations will be put up
and the festivities will
begin!

GODERICH – The Blyth
Festival Singers will per-
form ‘For Us A Child is
Born’ Dec. 8 at 2:30 p.m.
in Knox Presbyterian
Church, Goderich.
The Chrismas concert
will feature the sounds of
Bach and the Knox
Handbell Choir.
The 55-voice choir of
the Blyth Festival Singers
will sing sacred and secu-
lar Christmas music.
After the concert, hot
cider and homemade
Christmas sweets will be
served.
Tickets, $12 per adult
and $6 per child 11 and
under, are available at
Tasty-Nu Bakery in
Zurich, from any choir
member or at the door.
